The Bloomers Debate is an annual event, where a debate between female students of senior secondary schools in Abuja commemorate the International Day of the Girl: October 11th

The Organizer and Host of the debate is Jaruma Magazine, a voice for contemporary northern women who advocate for girl-child education, and women’s rights, and helps to change stereotypes and amplify women’s voices. It is a platform for the empowerment and celebration of women in Nigeria. 

 

The idea behind this initiative is about Empowering young girls is a powerful investment in the future. One effective way to do this is through a transformative initiative that hones in on life’s transferable skills. These skills not only help them navigate challenges but also equip them to become confident, resilient, and adaptable individuals, ready to make a meaningful impact on the world. This initiative focuses on imparting crucial skills that transcend traditional education and are essential for personal and professional growth.

 

The primary objective of this initiative is to equip young girls with a diverse set of life skills that enable them to succeed in various aspects of life.

The program emphasizes on;

Our 7 Key focus areas are;
